DHAKA, Jan 3, 2026 (TNB) – The 30th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) was inaugurated today, exhibiting locally made products to domestic and international customers.

Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin inaugurated the month-long DITF at the Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Centre at Rupganj in Narayanganj.

The DITF is not merely an exhibition. Rather, it is a platform to showcase innovation and groom entrepreneurship. It is an exhibition for showcasing Bangladesh’s commercial development, he said in a statement by the commerce ministry after the inauguration.

At least 7 explosions and low-flying aircraft heard in Venezuela capital

The fair was scheduled to start on January 1. It was shifted to January 3 after the government declared a three-day national mourning over the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

In this year’s fair, the use of polythene bags and single-use plastics has been prohibited. As an alternative, eco-friendly shopping bags will be supplied at reduced prices through the Ministry of Textiles and Jute.
